Software You Need To connect to Elendor or any other MUSH, you need a client program. No client program gives you any particularly great advantage as far as the game play goes, but some are far more convenient to use and a lot nicer to look at than others. The easiest to get (but the least convenient to use) is the telnet program that you probably already have on your computer. All versions of Microsoft Windows ship with a simple telnet application. Click here for step-by-step instructions on finding it and using it. If you'd rather download a program that looks nicer and will give you a better overall experience, below is a list of programs we recommend, categorized by operating system. Each link below leads to a homepage for the program, or to some other site where the program can be downloaded. Follow the instructions on the website to download and install the program. Once you've done that, go to the next page to get instructions on how to use the program to connect to Elendor.
If you are a Pueblo user, we strongly recommend that you click on the link above to download Smial. Smial is identical to Pueblo except with bug fixes and enhanced features. It has no installation overhead and will not interfere with existing Pueblo installations. Just extract it to a directory and run it, and if you wish to uninstall later, simply delete the directory. Elendor has special features specifically for Smial users. For instructions on how to set up Smial, click here. |
